169. Breakfast

Roti Canai
 


Alif's dad took him off my hands for a couple of hours this morning. So when Noormy woke up around 9am and said she was awfully hungry and wanted to breakfast outside, I immediately said yes. So we both sent Aya to work and then breakfast at 'Restoran Al-Asna'.

I ate 'Roti Canai' & Noormy ate ' Roti Telor'. We both drank 'Teh C special'. I drank it hot and Noormy drank it cold with ice cubes.

This shop is just next to the Imperial Mall.


As usual we both ate our 'Roti Canai' with our favourite dish, 'Kari Kambing'.
We like coming here because they give a generous amount of the curry in our plates each time. And you can ask for more curry soup for free later too.

I was so thirsty I drank 2 of this big glass of 'Teh C Special'
'Teh C' means it is tea with milk. Now when you say 'special' they will add some pandan flavoured paste at the bottom of the glass, so there will be some pandan aroma when you drink it. It is nice but I prefer it hot. And I am beginning to like this drink.
 




















Have you ever drink it? Try, it is quite nice actually and you can try it cold too.

BTW we arrived home around 1030am, Alif and his dad were at home already.

168. My Kitchen

I've said I will post some pictures of my kitchen so I will do this in today's post. I think no matter how simple is a woman's kitchen she nevertheless still will feel proud of it. Likewise :)

This is where me and my family sit for our meals. A big round table with a glass round plate on top of it which can be turned round and round like in a chinese restaurant. I bought the glass plate for a RM110 and the rubber disc underneath it (which enables the glass plate to turn) for RM80 at 'Add Sen Furniture Shop' at Taman Tunku.


















Okayy.. one step backwards this is how it looks like. Further up there is another oblong table where I'd always like to keep it empty whenever I could so I can sit there to read the morning newspaper or cut up some vegetables while sitting :)

You can see my oven, the gas stoves; I have natural gas connected to my house and they are very cheap.
On the right is a sort of hotel sink with a mirror on top of it where we washes our hands after eating or what not.


















You can see what's next to my gas stoves here. This is where I do most of my cooking, with 2 sinks and plates stacked up there.



















Now back to the sink where we wash our hands, next to it is another window. Near it is a big freezer, an oven and a microwave oven. In fact if you look at the first picture on top, I have another big freezer too next to my big oven there.

Those 2 pumpkins are real lol... hubby bought them on his way back from work when going outstation to Kpg. Iran (a small town near Niah) the other day.



















These 3 refrigerators stand next to the 2 pumpkins and the oven and the microwave oven I mentioned earlier. I know...too many refrigerators? but I'd like to keep after meals food and not waste them. Besides my other foodstuffs of course.



















These are the things I placed on top of the largest refrigerator. We can't live without eggs!



















I always like to keep some handtowels handy too.

On the 3rd refrigerator I placed a jar of candies and a radio. At times I'd like to have some morning music or news on when the kitchen is too quiet.




















This cupboard stood on my left as I enter the door to that kitchen of mine. I do not have yet some closed cabinets on top of it so I have placed these items on top of it.



















These few mugs are symbolic to me. Each reminds me of something I did or was involved in the past. I have a 'Sarawak Shell Sdn Bhd' mug which reminds me of my 21 years in service with the company, an 'Out of Bounds School' mug which reminds me of my 3 weeks intense training with the school, a 'MARA' mug which reminds me of my trip to the university during Aya's Convo., and a 'Mickey Mouse' mug to remind me of the Boulevard Supermarket's gift.

167. Chilling Out at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf

I was chilling out at the 'Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf' at Bintang Mega Mall with Noormy last night.

Both of us brought our laptops with us. In the beginning we went to the 'Starbucks Coffee'. I need to plug my laptop while Noormy would be using hers with battery. I also brought along my Celcom 'Vodafone' just in case...
To our disappointment, after getting into their 'Starbucks Coffee' WIFI, we both could not get into the internet. Then Noormy thought of 'Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf' next door, so I said why don't I go and ask first.

One of the workers there told their WIFI too is not so good but added we could have a try first. I agreed and went back to Noormy at 'Starbucks Coffee' to pack our laptops with us.

WIFI certainly was good at 'Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf' and we were both glad we went there.

The seat we chose were very very comfortable. It was a 2 sofa seatings with big cushions which we can tuck under our backs :)


We shared a drink of Iced Blended Chocolate RM11.34 (Cold Creamy Chocolate Drink with Double Cream Topping) which I bought and a 'Turkey Ham with Melted Cheddar Cheese' which Noormy bought. Both were delicious, my first time trying them.


Turkey Ham with Melted Cheddar Cheese RM15.90, besides the Turkey Ham with Melted Cheese, there were some salad vege dipped with some olive oil plus some sliced dried almonds and black raisins sprinkled with some black pepper. Very delicious.
 

We stayed there until almost 11pm.

It was a very nice chilling out.

166. My Living Room

Hari Raya Puasa has been and gone for over 2 weeks now but the atmosphere 'which has been' is still there and felt in my house. So, just not to loose it all I decided to take some pictures of my living room and my kitchen.

This part of the living room is where we see the tv. Remember my trifty buy of the photograph frames? See, I've placed them on the tv.


This sofa is facing directly towards the tv above. On it's right and left I have 2 long benches of the same sofa colour. I have put up big mirrors on the walls to make the room look bigger. Anyway, I like mirrors :) I have a brown table in front of the sofa to place cakes and biscuits on it.


This is towards the left of the sofa above. You can see the big mirror on the wall which has been painted brown. The wall behind the tv has been painted light beige.


This is the main sitting room. I have one longer sofa here.

Next to it, a single sofa, with a lamp post near the wall.


On the other side of the longer sofa is another single sofa next to it and a curtained door which leads to my kitchen.
